God is within me, and without
God is within me, and without
He's in the twinkle of a child's eye
and in warmth of a partner
He's in the energies of my atheist friend
and vivacity of another
He's in the raindrop on my windowsill
after a long night of storm
He's in the auroras of North
and the hot breeze of Sahara
He's in the heart of a healer
and in the faith of a patient
He's in the blessings of a mother
and entreaties of a child
He envelopes me like a benevolent parent
and puts his hand through my hair
He guides me into challenges
and stops me from falling
He's in the song of my prophet
and verse of my poet
He whispers his innovations in my ear
and shows me a kalaidescope in my dreams
He's in the smile of a beggar
and in benevolence of a rich man
He's in the compassion of a thief
and guilt of a criminal
He's in this world and next
and beyond all worlds and words
He's in life and in death and beyond both
My God, My Creator...
